Multiple generations enjoy music under one roof!
Allegro School of Music is a place where anyone of any age can explore and learn through music. An individual could begin with us as a newborn in a Kindermusik class and stay with us all the way into his or her retirement years through private lessons and performance groups!
Our History:
1994: Kindermusik of Rockford is founded by Carol Hillman
2001: Kindermusik of Grand Rapids joins the program
2003: Lyn Wiltse Jameyson becomes owner and director
2007: Allegro School of Music is founded, changing the name and expanding the focus
2010: Family Harmony is established as a non-profit community organization
2011: Allegro School of Music officially becomes a part of Family Harmony
2011: Family Harmony (along with Allegro School of Music) receives 501(c)(3) status

These are all words that can be used to describe the wonderful team of instructors at Allegro School of Music. Every one of our educators has a passion for music; every educator has university training and performance experience. We recognize that different students have different learning styles, so we take care to cater our classes and lessons to each individual student's needs. Our instructors regularly undergo professional development so that we are continually refining our skills as educators and as ambassadors of the fine arts. We are very proud of the program we have built!
